"Your opinion of this old world village local, will depend on your taste in pubs. This is my kind of pub. Of which, there are too few. Traditional, cosy and focussing on serving good real ales. Lacons Norfolk Gem and 3 beers by Grain Brewery. Well kept. And it had a relaxed convivial friendly atmosphere. That is. Not plastic, formulaic and designed on an office computer. Some memorabilia on the wall, related to the wartime history of Tibenham airfield, where JJ. J... James Stewart was based. The locals weren't Royston Vasey types and were very welcoming.. They don't have a menu but they have sausage rolls or pies sometimes. The half dozen locals were tucking into a take away Indian, with the full blessing of the landlord. I'll be going Again!"
"Good old fashioned village pub, with a roaring log fire in the winter. Supports village events and also hosts a range of events through the year. Keep up the good work Rob."
"Lovely, welcoming traditional pub. We greatly appreciated their flexibility in providing vegetarian food without us giving prior notice on a busy Sunday lunchtime."
"A great pub. I frequented this pub many times in the 70s and 80s. It is still the same. A great pub for quality beer. A cosy retreat where one can wind down. It is a absolute must to visit. A pub which has not sold it's soul to the 'demands' of modern commercialism. It is a genuine place."
"Brilliant pub. Way out in the sticks & found this place closed but seeing it was a community pub went back later. Had a warm welcome from the sole proprietor & leaned a bit of history about the local airfields & the previous landlady connection with the Beatles. Really nice homely atmosphere, they were not doing food that night & do have a very limited menu, but this place is an absolute gem. The beers was in fantastic condition & we has a thoroughly wonderful visit."
