"In all my years living in and visiting Brighton, I never knew this pub had such a fancy and eclectic dining room upstairs. We had a lovely meal in surroundings my friend described as being off a 1920s movie set. Great service, high quality food, wide range of wines and beers, we recommend it highly. Would have liked just a few more options for mains and the kids menu but in all, a great place to eat."
"There for the Roast dinner for 17-year-old Grandchild birthday celebration. Great choice of menu, and a good selection of Roasts, including the vegetarian and vegan style. But more than that, it's one of those places that you have to keep looking at, so many interesting pictures, photos, mostly old history. I would like to go again just to walk around and muse. Service excellent, food great, atmostphere well have to be there."
"Place is average. Food taste great (traditional), but DO NOT WAIT FOR ALL THE FOOD TO BE HERE!!! It would take too long for all to be here at the same time(lack of space+employee). Toilet improves a lot better than use to be horrible. It improved a little now."
"We had lunch here the other day after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We had really good food but unfortunately the pub was freezing and the meal was served on stone cold plates, so it soon lost it's temperature and was cold before we could finish it. Such a shame as the meal itself was excellent."
