"Myself and my husband dine regularly in Earth & Vine. Terrific food, friendly efficient staff including Daria, Eleana and crew. Have recommended it to many."
"Some mistakes were made while preparing the main course, what lead to longer waiting times (The mistake got resolved pretty quickly by the friendly Restaurant Manager). The atmosphere was pretty loud for a fine restaurant. This is why the restaurant will only receive 4 stars."
"Four of us went to Earth and Vine for a meal that was to take place two years ago. From the minute we entered to the minute we left we had a wonderful and enjoyable time. Staff were so helpful and the lady looking after us was Emma who was so pleasant. Our food was devine. We had three course meal and we were given a taster to begin, very tasty. My starter was the nicest chicken liver pate I ever had. All the other starters were delicious. Then the sorbet. Our main meals were so good. We were delighted with all the food. Marco the Chef came out and chatted with us. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend the Earth and Vine."
"We had afternoon tea here for my mum's birthday. The standard spread was excellent quality, particularly the cakes. The best was the delicious pistachio and chocolate gateaux. The service was a little patchy, though the individual team members were very helpful. The dairy-free version of the afternoon tea initially wasn't great, but the manager pulled out all the stops and rescued the situation. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon!"
"My expectations were probably a bit too high going in here to be honest and part of me really wanted it to be a good meal considering the lack of decent restaurants around Castleknock. The price range also suggested that the standard would be good however this was not the case. The meal was accompanied with extras such as bread and spreads, Amuse-bouche and sorbet which, if done correctly, can work well. However, when the basics aren't done right these extras seem almost comical. Overall, the food and service was poor at best. Sauces in mains were clearly reheated several times resulting in a thick gloop on both dishes we got, the bread was stale and when we asked for them to be replaced they forgot to drop some out, the "truffle french fries" were simply oven chips that were sitting under a hot light all day and every dish came out with a dried shaving of carrot it seems (Literally every dish we got had this..) I gave the second star because to be fair to the assistant restaurant service manager she did try make the effort after picking up that we were disappointed in the quality etc. Would not go back and would not recommend to others. If the restaurant focused on the basics and did these well I'm sure the standard would jump considerably. I'm giving 2 stars because the setting is nice and the effort from floor management was there."
