"Great service but poor food. My calamari was cut so thin that all you tasted was the batter on the outside. It was also very dry! and my fish and chips much the same: a thin piece of fish with a thick, dry coating of batter, not very crispy at all. The chips weren’t the best either. Being a seafood/fish lover I felt quite disappointed. Any local chipper will do better and for half of the price. The servers were lovely though and provided a great service."
"Had dinner here with my partner. we waited over an hour for our starters. I could see the kitchen from where we sat and a number of the staff were just standing around chatting so they certainly weren't busy. when the starters finally arrived I had seafood chowder. It looked and tasted like packet soup with some lumps of fish tossed into it. The chef hadn't even bothered to remove the mussels from their shells. The main course was steak. That was greasy and overly fatty. My partner had a hot chocolate that resembled something from a swamp. They managed about 2 sips at most. The best though is that they charged us for the water which had been placed on the table before the meal. we wont be dinning here again."
"This pub is : firstly you are greeted by brass door handles which look so bad you don't feel comfortable handling. The bar staff often forget to serve your ordered drinks and have to inquire when they will arrive ? Just to remind them. The bar food Is great but if there is a function on in the restaurant the bar food will not be available and that is upsetting if you arrive in with a plan to eat. The toilets are often in a bad state!"
"Actually visited Hooked at Dorans for dinner and it was fab. Super value for seafood. Will definately be back very soon. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the Gambas starter but i just tucked in!"
"Lovely neighborhood pub, nice interior. Very entertaining bartender/security guy. Portions are huge and very tasty as wekl as filling. We had the bbq wings, and I would order them again, really the blue cheese dip that was served. If you are around in this area, don't miss giving this pub a try."
