"Some tasty vegan items on the menu but far more of them should be considered. A lot of the recipes could be quite easily made as 100% vegan/plant-based, and it would be beneficial in lots of ways to do so"
"Upstairs there is a nice seating area with plants and vibrant colours. Before sitting in, we explored the menu on their website and were disappointed to find that the choice on the actual menu was limited and it was significantly more expensive. Even more disappointing was the fact that there was something wrong with everything we ordered: 1) the calzone was dry and mediocre at best 2) the mojito tasted as if it was simply water with lime, lacking sweetness or alcohol and the mint leaves were simply added in, not crushed 3) the chocolate milkshake was quite watery and 4) the pesto pasta was drenched in oil, although overall it was okay and probably the best of the things we ordered."
"If only you could smell the coffee...! Seriously wonderful coffee at this ideal cafe in the centre of Brighton, and always so friendly. Haven't been in here a while, but so glad I came in. A perfect spot for lunch, too. The authentic Sicilian food is incredible."
"Ok. Let’s start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the “Crema al pistacchio”. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best “arancini” in Brighton."
