"You don't pay, great for dog walks,no toilets.but beautiful woods, lots of fungi if you know where to look.a good 2-3hrs walk about"
"Really nice little walk for yourself and the kids, great place to take the dog for a walk. It obviously has wooded areas but is interspersed with mown meadows and famous for its orchids You can also access the bridel paths at the top end of the site and these will take you to Draycott or down to the river and on to Shardlow if you would like a longer walk A lovely little place and lovely through the changing seasons"
"Lovely nature reserve, good for dog walking. Extremely wet and muddy at present (to be expected given the amount of rain this winter) many of the pathways have significant sitting water on them which makes the going a bit difficult in places, definitely wellies needed until it dries out!"
"It's a lovely little place to go for a walk if you live locally, there is a free car park (with height restrictions). Some parts may get very muddy if you go into the woods themselves. Whilst we were in the area there were several loud bangs, possibly from nearby works, these scared our dog so I'm relieved that we kept her on her lead. It wasn't busy when we went, during the week day. The bridleway running alongside goes all the way to the road opposite St. Chad's Water."
"Great place to walk dog's car parking very limited st the moment due to on going work by Severn Trent. Plenty of seats everybody who walks their dog's there are very friendly. In essence an ideal spot"
