"First time we have visited, was advised parking can be difficult so made the journey on the tram which was perfect as drop off is right outside the park. Lovely walk around the lake, very picturesque. Only thing that let's it down is the state of the toilets"
"Great park to visit. Plenty to do, generally tidy and clean. Except for the toilets really which could do with a bit of investment to bring them up to standard. And maybe a fence system to keep all the ducks and geese from going on the grassed area, just seems to be bored poo everywhere, more that there ever has been. Other than that generally a good place to go."
"It's early Sunday morning so not many folk about but it was sunny but breezy and I went for a slow cycle around Highfields boating lake which was very nice ,there is a coffee shop but It was closed as I was too early ,it was lovely though"
"Had a bike to ride beautiful park lots of walks and bike rides. boating lake in the summer/spring . crazy golf and crazy football,on all year. good children's park .and good cafe .parking is free but parking metres are on site .you don't have to pay near the park .we phoned the council to ask if we do to check this ."
"It's a really nice place to walk around, it's peaceful and relaxing. There is a cafe for drinks and snacks and a mobile coffee van too, the latter sells some fantastic brownies, cakes and savoury pastries, the coffee and hot chocolate isn't bad either! We like to stroll around and feed the birds and squirrels; it's a very satisfying thing to do. We go several times a week, and we'd never be bored of it."
