"(Using an anon name incase they attempt to say that I am not a former tenant) this review is in regard to the the Nottingham West-Bridgeford landlord direct. I will be giving the company 1 star because they attempted to take our deposit for a 2 bed on st James street for things which we hadn’t even done. Sue was very adamant that we were in the wrong and that our deposit should be taken away from us (regardless of the fact that we sent multiple images to show proof). We went to TDS and luckily they saw through landlord direct and returned our deposit. If they do the same to you then I advise you fight the case through TDS. I would like to say that this review isn’t targeting Puja or the maintance team who were very helpful throughout the tenancy."
"Landlord Direct is a brilliant service for both Tenants and Landlords. As a landlord it gives me a cost effective way to access a great range of tenants. The service is very efficient and has never let me down. I was recommended by a friend and totally agree with him, no idea why people who can manage their own properties go anywhere else"
"Landlord Direct, 21 Gordon Road, West Bridgford Flat was given to us damp and moulding because of a leak. Unclean. Random stains in the sofa and around toilet. Walls had to be painted whilst living there and writing a dissertation. Given a dehumidifier for the damp but the mould in the kitchen was never sorted. Radiator kept leaking and boiler was faulty. Sue didn’t read my inventory at the end of the tenancy and tried taking part of deposit which was expensive to start with. Full deposit only returned after threatening to contact the TDS. Go with them if you’re desperate but be prepared for a lot of negatives. No complaints against the maintenance team or Puja, who was always polite and a great help. Flat was in Raleigh Square. Yes, this is the right company."
"Incompetent, Inept, Inadmissable – just three words to describe Landlord Direct management of my short term let holiday cottage. Essentially the company is not structured to manage short term lets which need 24/7 attendance and housekeepers who do a lot more than just cleaning. None of this is possible if the agency are unavailable evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays and Annie Cleaners, inapproprietaly described as 'housekeepers' who also work restricted hours and days. Leaving a family stranded at 8pm because management forgot a booking is perhaps a 'one off' allowable mistake if instant rectification takes place. However, walking away from phones until the next day, after being informed immediately at the time, is not managing a short term holiday let. Leaving guests without power all night because nobody can come out until the morning is not managing a short term holiday let . Leaving the property owner, their client, without cleaners at zero notice in the middle of high season, offering only an overpriced, hour restricted company as a last minute option, is not managing a short term holiday let. Take it from some-one who knows 1000 miles away! Would potential holiday property owners please note that despite the Landlord Direct website offering housekeeping as part of the deal, this was hotly denied when the cleaners withdrew their services at zero notice. They are apparently, in fact, not responsible for the 'housekeeping' which is not cheering news to those of you who may choose them simply because of the attractive package offered. It is also quite evident that just one person responsible for responding to and confirming bookings can only be classed as insufficient= inefficient . All is made more fraught by continued system errors and mistakes regarding deposits and payments not taken in accordance with contracts. Further exacerbated by the lack of admission thereupon. To sum up, this company as a short term letting agency, is not fit for purpose."
