"0 STARS - Legal Ombudsman awarded compensation for poor service RESPONSE TO BEYOND LEGAL: It is embarrassing that you have resorted to misleading and dishonest posts, especially as a legal firm. Claire Linnitt did not follow a complaints procedure in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority - please check their guidance notes. When Ms Linnitt finally investigated (after months of chasing) the facts were incorrect and the offer was insufficient. The Legal Ombudsman agreed that your offer was inadequate for "poor service" and they 'recommended you pay an additional £250' (their 'significant award' category) which I accepted to bring the complaint to a close. Subsequently, your firm would not provide the full refund and compensation or respond to any of my emails which the Legal Ombudsman chased you for. To complain about the Legal Ombudsman, I would have to make a 'service complaint' which I did not. I followed the Legal Ombudsman procedure as I am entitled to. UPDATE: On the Legal Ombudsman’s advice, I have received a full refund and compensation for the appalling service and handling by Beyond Legal. I highly recommend you use a different firm! ORIGINAL POST: I can not recommend this legal firm since their customer service is non-existent. Not only do they not reply to emails, phone calls but in my opinion don’t follow the basic regulatory rules. It took over 2 months for a piece of work to be provided in draft format after continually chasing. Subsequently, there were multiple errors which they have tried to charge to put right. I have later found out from another legal firm that in their view the work they did was incorrect. In my view they are only interested in their monthly billing statistics. I have raised the matters with the firm which they have yet to investigate thoroughly (or at all). I recommend you stay away."
