"Pre cooked tasteless food under heat lamps, very disappointing. We paid £5.95 for a small side plate of chips - shocking."
"This café (you can't call it a restaurant) is very expensive for what you get. 2 x cheesy chips, 2 x cup of tea, and a cookie came to £27! It's only saving grace was the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble."
"The food was amazing. I had cauliflower and chickpea curry with chips. It was delicious. Staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, service was fast and although there was a queue; it was constantly moving and I didn't wait long at all for food."
"I returned to the zoo after five years only to find the steam train gone. How very sad to see a popular attraction disappear. Apart from disliking the management who now runs this zoo for (apparently) disregarding public opinion about the steam train, the rest of the park was as beautiful as before. My second visit was in November rather than the summer; but nevertheless, I still enjoyed the visit and the rain left off for most of the day. The restaurant has a good choice of tasty food at a reasonable price and there are loads of seats scattered throughout the park, as well as picnic tables and a play area for the children. The gift shop had a lot of really lovely little nik naks that I havent found elsewhere. I certainly recommend a day out at this zoo. Meanwhile I suggest that customers write a complaint about the steam train being taken away."
"This is a large restaurant with a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food. Main meals are a good price and decent sized portions. Cakes are delicious and locally produced. There's plenty of seating and is kept clean and tidy."
