"I'm in year 10. I like the learning and PE classes, the place is cool, but some teachers are mean and unfair, especially Mrs croft. (Name: Joseph Williams)"
"My review of The Redhill Academy part three: Mr. Byrne who was the head of Humanities was very condescending and sarcastic to students. He once covered my Geography lesson and he told us that one student of each table pile up the exercise books, one student of each table to pile up the textbooks and one student of each table to pile up the key work books at the front desk of the classroom. Some of us piled up more than one book on each table and in a sarcastic, condescending way in which he was looking at me at the time said “that he didn't understand how some of us couldn't tell the difference between an exercise book, a textbook and a key work book”. Ms. Rana, who was a Science teacher, had a bad attitude with students and was just playing rude. She would pick on the smallest of things such as walking into the classroom slowly. Mrs. Morris, who was an I.T. teacher was always grumpy with students, Ms. Francis, a cover teacher, would tell students off for the smallest of things and Ms. Williams, a teaching assistant, would always get frustrated with students and get nasty with them, she was an invigilator for students sitting exams in Learning Support and she was rude and would rush students when there was lots of time left until the exam finished. Mrs. Heneghan who taught English was just plain mean to students. Mrs. Staniforth, who was a deputy head and also taught Maths, told me that I needed to come to school in my last year instead of doing work at home due to my anxiety, told me that I had to come into school instead of staying at home and revising which would have made me feel better. Even some of the I.T. technicians were rude and condescending, some of the exam invigilators were rude, some the House Support Staff always spoke down to the students, the librarian; Mrs. Hilditch was rude and there was a dinner lady called Miss. Winston who would tell students to leave the dining rooms when they were still eating and even the principal; Mr. Burns was quite arrogant with students. If any of you who are mentioned here are reading this, I just want you to know that you made my life at school very tough and I hope you take some time to think about this. When I collected my exam results, I got the impression that the school was not bothered about me, as I didn't get the right exam results for sixth form and that they wanted to just get rid of me, although my Head of House was really supportive when I collected my exam results. If it wasn't for my amazing Form Tutor, Student Support Centre and Learning Support Centre then my time at Redhill would've been horrible. I understand that teaching is hard and it isn’t the teachers job to look for Mental Health problems but there was no excuse for bullying. I just want to say to anyone that is or was going through this that you are or weren't alone. Thank you for reading my review of The Redhill Academy."
"I went to this school from 2017-2020. Throughout my time at Redhill I realised that the school only care about their reputation. The school knew I was struggling with mental health and promised my mum 3 times to get me help, but they never did. I suffer with anxiety disorder and was bullied for most of my time here, I told a teacher about me being bullied and they told me I bought it upon myself for having short black hair and never did anything about it. I got removed from the academy and sent to an ap and in my eyes it's simply because they couldn't be bothered to give me the help I needed, and I've seen it happen to a few of my friends aswell. I now go to an amazing ap who help me with my mental health and support me, but the emotional trauma of Redhill lingers. Please if your child has mental health issues do not send them to this school."
"I left the school 2 weeks ago and I feel that the education isn’t very good. Some teachers aren’t fair and don’t give the support some students need. My best experience was with my history teacher Mr Matthews who is also the head teacher. The school could be a good school with the right teachers."
