Reviews
"Just had a wonderful stay at the Drake hotel. We had a new refurbished deluxe room and it was lovely with an excellent shower. Breakfast was very good, although service was slow on the Sunday morning. However, given the location and the free parking, we will choose this hotel over any other in Plymouth next time we come and stay."
"We booked a premium double room, The location was just what we wanted. After reading the reviews we were excited to try the breakfast, all I can say we were very disappointed, cheap quality food, the only thing we can say is the eggs were good. One morning as we couldn't stomach the full English breakfast again, my husband had poached eggs on toast, but they couldn't even manage toast if was warm anemic bread. The Bedroom we stayed in was recently refurbished and redecorated but the colour scheme was a mixtures of mish mash gold, silvers and greys, we had one grey lamp and one gold lamp which just look odd, the furniture was badly chipped, no hair dryer in room, but stated it came with a hairdryer. All I can say is, the new owners need to make vast improvements to meet the expectations of customers reading the current views on Google. Also if you book the premium double you are down in the basement, which is normally the cheap rooms and not the more expensive rooms."
"Just spent a long weekend at this hotel. As always excellent service all round. And breakfast was amazing. I can't fault this hotel or location at all. Every time I come to see my sister I will be coming back."
"Lovely hotel. The most friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was second to none. Recommend a stay here and I would definitely come back again."
