"A just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the Eden ward team and surgeon’s especially S.Bates! Despite feeling quite nervous about having surgery, they really made me feel at ease. Every step was explained clearly to me and I felt very looked after whilst in their care!!"
"Recently had my first ever op and hospital stay. I cannot praise the process and all the staff highly enough. Every element through from initial consultation, to subsequent follow ups and the procedure itself ran exactly like clockwork. Every single member of staff involved from the administrators, catering assistants, nurses, care assistants, doctors and consultants were highly professional, organised and caring. Given the current additional stresses on our amazing NHS, I honestly don’t think that I could have had a better experience. We are so lucky and our care workers deserve nothing but the best in terms of salary and conditions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"PLEASE NOTE THE POST DATE OF MY REVIEW AND THE DATE FOR THE RESPONSE 3 MONTHS AGO. THEY HAVE CARRIED OUT THE REVIEW AND WILL NOT DISCUSS THE SITUATION ANYMORE SO THE RESPONSE BELOW IS A LIE. THE PART OF MY COMPLAINT THEY FOUND IN THEIR FAVOUR IS THAT I SHOULD HAVE RISKED MY HEALTH AND QUEUED FOR LONGER RISKING THE CHANCE OF CATCHING COVID BECAUSE THIS WAS THE BEST IDEA THEY HAD. SORRY BUT WHAT IS THE DUTY OF CARE THAT YOU ARE PREPARED TO RISK VULNERABLE PEOPLE'S LIFE!! Unbelievable how PALS and Patient Services react to helping the patient. It took 3 months to answer all of the questions correctly. When I initially tried to contact Patient Services it took over a week of repeated phone messages and numerous emails eventually after all my efforts they responded. I had given a statement of the events for Patient services to go away and find out what had gone badly wrong, to put a vulnerable person in danger, by very poor practice and standards . After a month they came back with a response that they seemed to have imagined how they thought the days events had gone. Why when I had already explained and if they were unsure why did they not contact me. So with the correct information they went away again and after another month they gave further answers and in all but one instance found in my favour. Laughable but true the one thing they found in their own favour was if I had stayed longer they would have been able to have put me in a safer place. The crux of my whole argument was I left minor injuries because I felt with my medical condition I was being put in a high level of danger fear of covid with a lung disease. So thank you for wasting 3 months with a very poor and unprofessional service. And yes I could go to the Parliamentary Ombudsman and wait another 3 years, but if you had done your job properly this would have been resolved. From the Patient."
"I would like to thank all the Doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, domestic staff they are a fantastic team. I can’t thank all these people enough they listened and shared information, they saved my life! I know for sure anywhere else I would of died and my family agree. I was on wellington ward the staff, all the staff was exceptional, again I cannot thank you all enough. I am still not fully recovered but once I am stronger I will write a much better review, I just wanted to get a review on thanking the staff, there’s so many I want to name, will save that for when I am stronger Thank you you are kind caring brilliant team thank you so much all the staff on Wellington ward and all the night staff. "I'd like to say a big thank you to the ambulance crew who looked after my mum this Saturday 15th October, mum was blue lighted from St Ives Harbour with suspected stroke, the crew and staff were brilliant and the follow up call received today. We were 5 hours away from our home town."
