"It's extremely muddy as you'd expect it to be, but unfortunately it is blighted by rubbish too. As Ripleys main council owned site it's a pity that they don't look after it better, since the farm closed down the surrounding area is a disgrace infact walking round the outskirts of the farm shows a complete lack of care for everything. The fields, fences + paths are a disgrace in places + are none exsistant infront of the farm entrance this is not due to the weather, but a complete lack of care also the majority of the signed paths still have dangerous styles to navigate. The area just seems to be a dumping ground either in sight or buried over the years . Come on all concerned get your fingers out and make the area something to be proud of especially the Pit head buildings . And that doesn't mean just planting more trees !"
"Bit of a disappointment, not well maintained footpaths. Remember to bring your wellies. We did try to get to these buildings but they were fenced off with no signs of any public access, they didn't look all the safe anyway."
"We had a lovely walk getting to the place I found it a bit boring but the kids had fun so that's all that matters"
"A great asset of trails through beautiful wood and grassland. More signage would be help to make the most of this beautiful area."
"Beautiful place to visit and walk the dog it's heavenly x"
