"The Manager's Special with Winter vegetables would have been delicious, except I'd asked them to leave the gravy off to make it gluten free and instead it arrived like this. Luckily I'm not deathly allergic but as I couldn't eat it my friend bought me a gluten free apple crumble which was heavenly. My pint glass wasn't particularly clean. The toilets are lovely and the pub itself is pleasant and warm which is worth money in itself these days. A yummy man smiled at me at the bar then disappeared. Apart from the blinkin gravy this would have been a win. There's a smoking garden at the front and a rather good charity shop opposite. You can walk to the sea. All good, except that potentially deadly gravy I'd asked not to have. Best apple crumble ever, I defy you to prove otherwise."
"You know what you're getting at a wetherspoon pub, cost effective food and drinks. The app means not having to queue at the bar so that's a bonus. I like the alfresco area but often it's too full of smokers to enjoy it. The only downside is it can get very busy on payday weekend evenings."
"We couldn't visit Plymouth without giving the local Wetherspoon'a try and what a good pub this is. Set in the old quarter of town, not far from where the pilgrims left for American hundreds of years ago, The Gog and Magog stocks some excellent draught and bottled beers as well as a great selection of gins. Located on South Street, don't pass by without putting your head through the door."
"Located in the Barbican easily missed as the entrance is near the famous gin distillery this is a typical value for money venue. Very noisy rowdy crowd in the small front courtyard but this is to be expected. The usual clean modern bathrooms and effective app table service and exceptional value for money food although they missed the mango chutney with the curry and the naan bread was burnt, however we are only human!"
"A Wetherspoon's is a Wetherspoon's wherever we have been and each one offers a reasonable fare of food and drink for a reasonable price. Just occasionally you come across one of their better characteristics of the company. The restoration of many a fine establishment that may have fallen by the wayside for some reason. I'm not sure if this building will comes into that category as this is our first, and only visit, to this establishment. An all round pleasant ambience as we sat and enjoyed our reasonably priced drinks, we didn't sample the food as time was against us. But yet another Wetherspoon's on our travels, and like them all, upto now, a pleasant experience. Toilet facilities were fine, my wife assured me that the ladies was clean and tidy, and we would have liked to stay longer, but we were a long way from home."
