"Good shopping experience, better pricing comparatively but lately no eggs"
"I’ve just visited Lidl West Bridgford for the first time and it is a lovely store, well stocked and wide aisles. I wanted to comment on the polite and helpful staff member, Jordan, who was working on the till this morning - I witnessed a customer being extremely impatient and rude to him and he was very polite and patient in response and remained cool in a difficult situation. As this rude customer threatened to complain I stated my intention of sending my appreciation of Jordan’s demeanour and behaviour."
"Shelves are regularly empty and the cashier was so busy dealing with the person behind me in the queue that I did suggest 'deal with your current customer first before going on to the next'. Quite rude but that's the headsets everyone wears so they talk to each other rather than customers."
"If saving money is your only objective it is a good place to try. I don't feel the range of choice is that great. Each occasion I have been in I either can't find something or there is only one option. It's not quite big enough to satisfy all needs. The big downside is you have to be served 1980's style which every time I have visited means a long time queuing up to pay. It only takes one customer to have problems finding a bank card, having trouble with the discounts app or whatnot and you have a long wait. This is the primary reason I don't use Lidl and stick to Asda and it's mobile hand scanners you can use as go round. When the adjacent school empties or at peak times you can expect excruciating long waits. I have tried a few products that are Lidl own brands alternatives which are certainly much cheaper but in each case I could taste the difference and decided to stick with known brands elsewhere. It does raise a smile to see the own brand versions of known products. 'Angel Delight' becomes 'Heavenly Delight' for example."
"This Lidl is fairly convenient as it is a short walk from the tram stop. I dropped by to pick up some milk for the little one and ended up buying more than I originally intended. Cashing out was quick and easy despite the initial long queue. The girl on cash called for another cashier when she noticed the queue being as long as it was."
