"Visited here while on holiday not too far away. Had two cream teas, scones ok but jam and cream served in very small packaging......just too little jam and both scones and tea served in paper cup and paper plate. Very disappointing and not cheap. Wouldn’t choose to visit again. Staff very friendly though."
"Having driven around the local area we decided to stop by and enjoy a real Devon cream tea. All I can say is disappointing! Firstly everything was served in paper plates and paper cups, if I'd wanted a tea from a paper cup I'd have gone to McDonald's (not that there is one nearby). No selection of teas offered. The scone was reasonable, nothing special equal to a supermarket own brand. The clotted cream and jam was lovely. It would appear that unless your local service is minimal. Overall quite a disappointing experience, and to top it off we were asked to clear our table, never have I been somewhere like this and been asked to clear my table. It's a shame, it could be so much better."
"Unfortunately as soon as we stepped into this bakery one of the staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We were rushed and ignored multiple times. The woman was incredibly dismissive when I tried to ask her about the coffee. To put it simply she was rude and stuck up. The stars are purely for the taste of the cake. I’m incredibly unimpressed and won’t be returning."
"Lovely place to sit down and have a coffee or cake ! The staff are very helpful and friendly. The cakes are all presented beautifully and match the pink, pastel aesthetic of the shop’s interior. It was quiet when seated despite the attached clothes shop so that is not an issue. The size of the cake is perfect for sharing too and the mocha’s were perfect to sip on a rainy summer’s day."
