"I explained that my car had been sat on my drive unused for 12 months and as a result my gear lever has gone super stiff, boss man explained to me that if I start using the car regularly it will go back to normal, or “running it in” in his words. I already knew this wasn’t the case but I took the car for a drive anyway to see how it would act, it got worse and worse the longer I drove. I called him back and explained and he still says “it just needs running in”. I took my car to him to have brake pads and disks changed, so I asked him to look at the gearbox too. When I went to collect the car he told me that he had completely rebuilt and re-greased my gearbox and charged me over £200 for this. When I got home I rang him and said it wasn’t any better and once again he told me “it just needs running in”. I’ve since had 2 different qualified mechanics look at it and they’ve both told me that the gearbox has not been touched at all, 0% chance it’s been taken out, cleaned, took apart, nothing. Garages being scam artists is the norm anyway, congrats."

"Cannot thank the lads here enough for their service during the past 24 hours! My car starter motor broke on Wednesday night, I took the car with the help of the AA to my usual garage who told me the next day they had no availability for 2 weeks. We towed my car here Thursday evening and had an appointment for a new starter motor to be fitted on Monday. Had a telephone call today (Friday) to say the car is ready to collect! Also very impressed with the price, £45 cheaper than other garages in the local area quoted me. Absolutely over the moon with the service provided. Will definitely be back for my MOT at the end of the year. You’ve made an NHS community worker who relies on her car daily very happy!"
