"Had to visit this pub as this is where my Grandad used to drink. It has a beautiful atmosphere when you walk in and lots of original features. The bar staff are friendly and particularly the bar owner James made us feel really welcome. The pints of Guinness were top quality, and for a Friday night we even got seats at the bar so bonus! The food looked and smelled amazing so will check out the menu next time we're over."
"First time ever eating here. Like being transported back in time in a good way. No frills - a real old style bar and restaurant like your parents might have went to. Had a delicious salmon paté for starters. Some of the bread with it seemed a little stale but overall lovely. Chicken goujons for main were great but could have used a bit more garlic aioli with it. The Irish Stout Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert was stunning. Quite light considering and brimming with Treacle flavour. The servers were clearly rushed off their feet so be patient. I'd go back for sure."
"A nice bar with good food. They were very busy and we were given lots of notice that our order would be slower as a result. Love the honesty!! Steaks smelt and looked amazing!!"
"I had a quick trip over to Belfast for a beautiful woodland wedding, but as always I found a bit of time to sneak a few pubs in. When you walk in your eyes will lock onto the beautiful mahogany central bar and the numerous guinness pumps. Even though it was a short visit the staff were super friendly and attentive - which is what you love to experience when you’re visiting a new pub and a city for the first time."
"Got to spend a day here while waiting on an evening flight back to Scotland. Staff are welcoming and friendly, great selection of drinks. Always a good pint poured. Good selection of food on offer. The roast beef dinner is incredible. If I'm ever back in Belfast 100% will be revisiting."
