"On Thursday the 2nd March I took my car in for an MOT with independent MB Nottingham. I left my car there all day while at work and picked it up later on in the evening. A few days passed and I received a call from my insurance provider telling me about the dangers of speeding and driving recklessly. I was confused by this as I am a careful driver who is very highly rated by my black box (still a fairly young driver). So I asked my insurance company to give me specifics and sure enough they provided me with 2 trips where the car had been driven ‘dangerously’ by their standards. These 2 trips were in-fact on the 2nd of March from MB Nottingham to a local garage (I now understand MB Nottingham outsources their MOTs there - not that I was made aware of this!!!). On a day to day basis I receive scores of around 80/100 on my black box to try and lower my monthly premiums. On this particular day MB Nottingham’s driver received scores of 51 and 54 out of 100. The detail from the device states that during both drives the following occurred: Harsh Acceleration, Harsh Braking and Speeding (evidence provided in images - all markers on map show points of dangerous Acceleration/Braking). Sadly this meant that my insurance premiums had been increased for the next quarter. To add to this after letting MB Nottingham know about the situation all I received was a denial that it ever happened despite the evidence being there. Additionally they said they would send me a letter which I could send to my insurance company explaining it was their fault for the dangerous driving scores - 3 weeks later I’m yet to receive this. Finally when I was asked what I’d like from MB Nottingham I said “an apology would be nice” the response to this was “I don’t know what I’m apologising for”. Overall my experience was very poor with MB Nottingham - my recommendation to anyone thinking of using them in the future is to consider their insurance premiums."
"I took my CLS500 in for a routine transmission fluid change. All items serviced in a timely manor and now the car is silky smooth to drive again as you would expect in a car like this. I'd definitely recommend. Free coffee is a nice touch as well :)"
"I went there this Morning as the bonnet of my Mercedes C220d S205 did not open and hence I was unable to refill windscreen wash (really annoying given the weather still not ideal). Another garage had already tried without any success. The station manager greeted me with the words "There hasn't been a bonnet I haven't been able to open in my 40 years with Mercedes" which gave me confidence that I had ended up at the right garage. Despite the fact that the team was snowed under with work, the station manager got two of his team out and within 2 minutes the bonnet was open! One of the two locks had seized. They also applied some grease to ensure the locks are fully operable and filled up the windscreen wash they had left over - all of that free of charge!! How lucky was I?? Now this really made my day as everything was extremely customer centric and they really helped me out as normally at other places what you get is the standard "before we do any work this will cost you XXX". To compare: The main Mercedes Benz Nottingham dealer said that it was not a quick thing to do, that nobody from the team had time to look at it straight away and that it would cost me 90+ GBP for the diagnosis of the error before a quote for the repairs can be issued. "Took my car in Mercedes e350 because it had anti theft activated on both dashboard and screen they removed warning off dashboard but told me they couldn't remove off the screen because they needed a software disc.told me they had to send to Germany for the disc. 5 months later and several phone calls they claimed to still be waiting for the disc. I asked them could I take car elsewhere and was told that no one in the country had the magical disc . For the work done they charged me £500. I finally decided to go to mercedes at derby who informed me they had no idea about this disc but put car on their star machine and fixed the problem in 3 hrs for a charge of £103.Would not reccomend this garage to anyone."
