"Horrific service from the reception staff. Refuse to make appointments unless you call constantly from 8 in the morning, half the time they don't bother to answer and the rest they tell you they don't have any appointments and to ring again the next day. The ONLY way to get an appointment is by telling them that without one you will kill yourself and then they magically reveal that they've got LOADS of appointment slots. When you go in no-one is ever there, obviously because they refuse to make appointments. The doctors are kind and understanding but will still prescribe medications such as Propanolol to people with severe asthma unless YOU know that it is life threatening."
"I used to highly rate this practice but something has gone seriously wrong in the last few years. The reason most negative reviews are to do with their phone system is because it truly is abysmal. The worst one I have ever come across. If you get through fairly quickly it feels like a fluke. Typically call wait times are around 45 minutes. The other day I rang and was told I was number 5 in the queue. It took over 20 minutes to move to number 4. I've found the staff to be friendly enough once you are in the practice. It's getting into the practice that is the problem. As others have said the practice is in serious need of a overhaul."
"I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Getting an appointment is like drawing blood out of a stone, even if you ring at 8am like advised. All slots for the day are opened up at 8am, I personally struggle to phone at 8am as I am driving to work and then I can't get an appointment if i phone any later. Can't pre book an appointment for next day, it's usually like a week later. No slots for the afternoon are saved for people who call at lunch. 2 Urine samples have been lost resulting in me not receiving antibiotics for a UTI whilst I was pregnant, so I had to go to UTC, even though I told them I know the symptoms because I suffer a lot they kept requesting another sample. The new appointment system is a shambles, can't get through at all to book an appointment, says I'm in a queue then each time I press number 3 to book an appointment it says we cannot answer your call and cuts me off. I'm due to have a baby in the next few weeks and I'm very worried that if anything happens to him I won't be able to get him an appointment. Not reassuring at all. Once he's born will be looking for another practice. Worst GP surgery I've ever been too and they wonder why 111 and hospitals are stretched. Overall if you're elderly or unemployed then you might have a slim chance of getting an appointment, if not I'd find yourself another practice because you'll have no chance."
"We attempted to get our young son an appointment 3 days running. We spent a total of 5 hours on the phone. We finally managed to speak to a receptionist on the 3rd day. Sadly she was extremely dismissive after informing us there was no more appointments. The get out response is "call 111" All we needed was a 5 minute telephone call with a doctor/nurse so our poorly boy could be administered some antibiotics. We had to make do with over the counter purchases to get him through. Please avoid - we have begun the process of moving surgery as we do not want to risk our families health."
