"Wow, I wish I'd got the steak. No, I thought, I'll get the salmon with tiger prawns, at nearly 17 quid I thought, that'll be decent. It wasnt, it was a greasy little salmon tragedy with 2 inedible prawns on a bed of grease surrounded by a kebab shop salad with no dressing. I tell a lie, the dressing was on the table, heinz salad cream. To say i was dissapointed was an understatement, to say wetherspoons, half a mile away, would have done a better job for a third of the price would be a disservice to wetherspoons. This pub clearly relies on its proximity to a premier inn for a supply of wide eyed visitors to fork out 5.50 for a pint before they check google maps and notice theres a perfectly good high street full of eateries within walking distance. To summarise, shamefull garbage. Photos provided, the liquid around the salmon is oil. By way of contrition, the staff were very nice ."
"It was my birthday treat. And escorts to the back of the pub where there was one other couple quite elderly it was a bit cold in that area, I felt like I was put in the naughty corner for not booking a table. The elderly couple had to put there coat back on while eating. Yet there was plenty of empty tables at the front of the pub and it clearly felt a lot warmer in this area. Which in itself put a dampner on the meal. I left half of it as I just want to leave. Other than this the steak and kidney pie was lovely. And this is the reason for my rating."
"Fabulous Boxing Day Family Meal and awesome service! The festive menu was beautiful and the gluten free menu was amazing. Such friendly service by Chloe (nothing was too much trouble, even the change in desserts due to availability, which she prepared herself) and Josh was the same, nothing was too much trouble, along with service which was delivered in a professional manner. The chef Rayon delivered outstanding tasty food in a timely manner, even though there were large family bookings present in the restaurant. You all ended our Christmas festivities on a high....thank you all so much! From Clare Leigh-Tonks with the booking named under Rebecca Lane x"
"The portion size was terrible, three onion rings, handful of chips and a burger. Could have gotten better value at McDonald’s. The staff weren’t attentive. Never checked if we were okay, needed more drinks, or enjoyed food, had to walk around the restaurant to find them. We asked for separate bills when we got there, and they put it all on one bill which caused complications and confusion for the bar staff at the end of the night. Staff had no idea how to do use the till or put the food on separate bills when we actually managed to find them. Not good value for money. Not happy at all. Pictures available of meal if someone would like to contact me. Thanks. I was asked to get in touch about my review, only for the email to be unaccepted and promptly ignored. Only advice I can give is DO NOT GIVE YOUR CUSTOM to the Coopers Brook. They apparently aren’t bothered about customer experience. You’ll be disappointed and your feedback ignored."
"We went to a private birthday party here. Wonderful place to spend a happy evening. The laid on buffet was superb, such lovely food, and very plentiful. Huge car park, very friendly and helpful staff, and to top it all, a premier inn next door. Brilliant night out."
