"I really liked their stock & quality of stock. Even an aul fella like me can find a nice shirt while my teenage son could as well. I took off a star because while being served the assistant & (I think) their manager/supervisor/senior sales assistant carried on a conversation which was reasonably personal instead of talking to me, the customer. I work in retail, I know it happens, even good staff can slip up now and then but it is bad customer service & it lost them a star. I would warn my own staff for doing it if I caught them."

"Unfortunately I didn’t have a good customer service experience at this store recently. I purchased a man’s coat here just after Christmas time. The coat was a sale item. When I was purchasing the coat, I asked the lady at the till if I could return it if it didn’t suit as it is a gift for someone. She said yes as long as it’s within the time frame. There was no mention that it was only on an exchange basis could I return it. I was aware that some stores don’t allow full refunds on sale items which is why I asked the question prior to purchasing. So I purchased the coat with the false information that had been provided by a member of staff. I later returned to the store to return the coat to be told it was exchange only. I explained the situation that I was not told this when I had asked the returns policy prior to purchasing as I specifically asked this question. The supervisor was unhelpful and told me to return the next day in the evening when a manager would be available as they would have more authority to decide if I was entitled to a full refund. So I returned the day after, I explained the situation to a different lady who said there was no manager in that day and seemed confused as to why I was told there would be a manager to speak to. This lady did deal with my issue a lot better and apologised as she could clearly see it was not my fault, but still to no avail was I provided with a full refund. I clearly stated that I was specifically told that I could return the item (no mention of exchange) and also stated how it was not my fault, but the fault of the member of staff who gave me false information prior to purchasing the product. I ended up receiving a gift card for Jack and Jones with the relevant amount on it rather than an exchange that day. However I am still left with a gift card I do not want. It is understandable that retail staff are extremely busy around Christmas time, however, as the customer, I was not at fault and therefore I should have been provided with a full refund as I had been told I was entitled to BEFORE purchasing. Unfortunately, I will not shop at Jack and Jones again. I would appreciate an appropriate response to my review offering me my money back."
