"Unfortunately, my second bad experience with this Halfords garage after steering clear of it for a number of years after my last experience. Had any service covered in the warranty on my car which was only eligible at Halfords - and with this being my local, I took it here. They called me within five minutes of leaving it saying the could not do it - citing an issue with my warranty and that the car was serviced and did not need servicing again for another year - which it would later show was not the case as within a few days, the onboard computer told me it was due in 30 days. Took my car to the Stourbridge garage a few weeks later after - absolutely no issue, total breeze and serviced, no hassle, in and out almost."

"Recently had my nissan pulsar mot here very quick polite man on the front desk had all the inspections explained tyre wear percentage etc with pictures to will definitely recommend joined motoring club & had £10 off my mot can't beat that"

"Quick and efficient, got new tyres fitted here after ordering them through the Halfords website, just dropped my keys off at the reception and said they'd be done in an hour (which they were), did great work from what I could tell after inspection. Only gripe would be the parking and reception, which is really packed between the 2 parks. Reception doesn't have anywhere to sit, so if you've got work on the car that'll take awhile, you'll have to amuse yourself by walking around the area, or have a mate come pick you up."

"Apparently, you’re not allowed to ask details about the service at reception. I have no complaints about the service but about their customer handling. I booked over £200 worth of service, only to get professional experience and some information to pass my MOT that’s due shortly. I could’ve easily get the job done from local mechanic with far less money. When asked in detail about the service, I guess it was taken offensively. Can’t I make sure everything is done as promised on Halfords website? I was treated like you’re stating the obvious, your car is old, is serviced from 7 different stations, did you ask everyone about the details or you just trusted them, he said I have so and so yrs experience at Halfords- nobody asked like this. (not too rudely) A customer can ask anything about the service. The expectation is just reply or satisfy customer's concerns. But Halfords' culture is keep quiet drop the keys, we'll call you, keep quiet pick up your car and go. I asked did you top up the fluids. -No, we didn’t. We charge extra for that. But it was mentioned on the website. -We only check Ok understood. But the attitude with which the person approached was not at all welcoming, as at some point he just remained quiet. It felt like may be it could’ve helped if I were english. Nutshell, people who opt for such autocentres just to get good experience or hope to get educated about their autos, can look for cheaper options outside. Because work quality and experience is just the same."
