Resulted in a lot of chasing on my end and really was not worth the hassle. (I personally did not select this dress maker but it was a group order for an event)"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, DO NOT BUY FROM Fashion afrique wolverhampton I requested the owner to make a suit for me from the Monday 4th October 2022. He told me he could do this and have it done for me within 12 days. I paid the £75 deposit requested. I also gave him a exact same suit to copy. On that same day, I requested him to make the suit jacket shorter as opposed to my original request for it to be longer which he agreed to do. After 7 days, I messaged this man and asked him for an update, he replied to me the following day saying he will update me soon. 4 days later, he told me the suit would be ready on the following Thursday which would have been way past the 12 days he originally told me it would take. He then proceeded to tell me 3 days later about issues with material saying he doesn’t have enough and will need to order more. This was frustrating enough as I had wanted the suit for an event. He then informed me that the fabric would arrive on the Tuesday. I messaged him on Tuesday 25th October requesting an update, No response. I messaged the following morning asking what time I can pick up the suit, as it should have definitely been ready by now. He said, he will let me know because he made a mistake because he forgot to make the jacket shorter. I asked him to show me the jacket he had created (picture below) which I told him was nothing like I requested. He assured me that he would recreate it from scratch. On Friday 4th November, I finally had enough and asked him to just refund the deposit and cease making the suit. The manner in which he spoke to me on WhatsApp was disgusting and vile, and no customer should ever be spoken to in such a manner. I ceased the conversation with him as he refused to give me my refund. He called me and I advised him that I was away and would not be back until 28th November. He called me on Monday, but due to me and my wife not feeling well, I told him I would let him know when I’d pick it up providing it was ready as he was not prepared to refund me. Today, to my surprise, the suit was disgraceful. It was not done to the standard requested. I told him I was not happy and he began to shout and scream violently at me and my wife whilst in the shop (please see video). I remained calm and was willing to compromise with another of the garments he had on display. This suit would cost £100. So by logic, since I had already paid him £75, all I would need to do is pay him another £25 for the matter to rest. He expected me to pay the full £100 and not only that, since I wasn’t happy with the 2 attempts he had made for the suit I asked for, I would have to wait for somebody to buy them before I could get my refund. Again I would advise anyone seeing this to avoid buying from individuals such as this.
