"Came here a few months ago and still recommending it to people now! Lovely range of dishes and starters, and I love the Indian tapas idea - a great way to try different types of authentic Indian food in Nottingham! It’s a quaint little establishment with a homely rustic feel, I feel the reviews below are unfair when they talk about the restaurant itself - it’s clear from the outside that you aren’t going into a large fine dining restaurant but something a little more unique which I personally think is refreshing. Food itself was lovely tasting and the service was impeccable, definitely returning!"
"UPDATED - Booked my parents in for a meal and they were extremely disappointed. It was cold inside, the food was cold and there was barely any chicken in the dishes. Would not recommend. It’s a shame, not sure what happened but sad! OLD REVIEW Amazing place. We had loads of food for such a good price. We had to take some home with us! It is a small place so would definitely really booking beforehand. Really lovely staff too! Overall, I would highly recommend."
"We came here to try a different Indian place without a booking. The interior is nice but we were quite cold inside (it was 0C outside) I kept my coat on. We ordered popadoms, 4 starters and main Kerelan curry dish plus naan. They only thing I fully enjoyed was the popadoms. The bang bang cauliflower was better than the other dishes. Overall the quality of the food was quite bland and the quality just wasn’t there. The pakora was undercooked inside. The samosa chaat was a disappointment! The chickpea base that is comes with was so bland. I’ve made this dish myself using better readymade somasa and it was a lot better. The food came quite fast which is good. A lot of the items seemed readymade. We didn’t feel satisfied after this meal. I wouldn’t come here again and spend our money on the food. We would rather go Tamatanga or make some of the dishes at home."
"We've been to Viva a few times now and each time we are blown away with the quality. The set menu for two is brilliant value for money and the dishes are bursting with flavour. The service is wonderful, everyone is so friendly and happy, it really makes you feel welcomed."
"Fantastic little Indian street food place. We had a set meal for two, very tasty and great loaded fries and chaat. Is quite small so would recommend going upstairs. Only complaint would be that the naans seem shop bought, not homemade. Otherwise lovely!"
