"I ordered Chinese special rice .. I don’t know what I got . Horrible packaging .. food tasted more like Indian food not Chinese (no offence to Indian food). If I wanted Indian I should have rested from a proper Indian menu instead. Rice was dry .. packed with tumeric. Never ordering again. Infact it’s cancelled. Definitely one of the worst Chinese I have had in Plymouth. In general I think Plymouth lacks good restaurants. I am yet to see any tbh . Response: How can you say I ordered special fried rice and that’s why it feels like Indian??. Please is Chinese special fried rice meant to taste like Indian food at all? Isn’t it Chinese food you sell? Perhaps why don’t you try master chef or dragon house to know how Chinese special fried rice should taste like."
"Delicious dim sum for starter every time I visit. Main dishes have always been super tasty. Chef will make a dish mild instead of hot no problem."
"I love that place. We dine here often and were never disappointed. My favourite dishes are the crispy aromatic duck and prawns with chilly and asparagus. It feels like an authentic Chinese restaurant. It’s an absolute must - go."
"Worrying reviews but thought we would give this Chinese a go. Chips looked and tasted recycled from the day before? Chilli beef was tough but noodles were tasty. Chicken curry was tasty but rice was globulated. To summarise, I won't be ordering from here again as plenty of better restaurants available for the price."
"Deserves No Stars. The Red Lantern in Plymouth. 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. Keith's back being slammed by the door by the delivery people. May as well have had "the table for two" in the lobby. We eventually were moved only to be isolated from other diners. Keith's face says it all, "the waiting is the hardest part" When the food finally arrived it was actually not that bad, well you cannot fu#k up rice surely? Part of the food I was eating was swiped away as soon as we paid. I nearly said "Hey! I was still eating that"! So to sum up, it's OK if you like sitting in "Deliveroo City"."
