"Went into the store not long ago about 2pm ish. And had rude and disrespectful staff who served me. I asked how busy it was as a conversation starter in a polite manner and totally ignored me. Also everything in the store has gone up and way expensive. Avoiding store from now on. I even told my family to avoid this store due to everything gone up especially in the cost of living crisis that’s ongoing. Used to love this store as was cheap years ago and during the end of lockdowns. I’m now cancelling my Tesco membership because of the prices gone up when it doesn’t help someone with learning difficulties struggling financially during the cost of living crisis. Plus rude staff. I left the store at 2.33pm and was served by a young gentleman. Yes it wasn’t much that I bought as I was close by as quickly shopped in Tesco before catching the bus home as I do my usual food shopping elsewhere that is far more convenient and cheaper at Asda, ALDIs and Lidl’s. I used to rate this store 5 stars ⭐️ but due to the cost of living crisis it’s a no from me. I do apologise. As don’t usually do a negative review on places I’ve been as years ago I had lovely and respectful staff who helped customers like me."
"Nice store & have been coming here for years however last night (Wed 8th Feb 21:00) I had an unpleasant experience with a dark haired young lady at the tills. My partner & I had just come from a restaurant together & decided to buy some food & alcohol for us at home. Upon reaching the tills we both presented our ID’s & the woman asked if the other girl with us was around somewhere. I was very confused so I responded “sorry?” To which she said there was another girl with us. I explained there wasn’t another girl with us & she became quite hostile responded rudely with “well there’s no point in lying”. I was a bit shocked as in this situation how are we meant to prove we weren’t with anyone else when we weren’t? We hadn’t even spoken to any other customers in the store & this woman was certain we were lying even giving a description of the girl saying she was in a “white coat”. I tried to explain with what I could saying we were in a relationship & had just come from a restaurant together & my partner referenced checking the cameras which is when she finally did move on & allow the alcohol however we were given no apology for the hostility we’d experienced & it was a very awkward time standing there after it all while our items were scanned."
"It's a small version of Tesco superstore nothing extraordinary, staff quite grumpy but could be because it was very busy ."
"I wanted wine. It had wine. I wanted to park my car by the shop. Shop has a car park. Astonishing."
