"Grate place for the family to spend some quality time together. There a café which has a good choice of food, hot and cold drinks, (be warned that they operate on a cash only basis) . There's a play ground, fishing lake for those with the appropriate licence etc and a small nature trail through a woodland area. Parking available, however depends on the time you park as to if there is a charge, which is only pence, I believe. There is also a public bath's."
"Lovely park to wander around especially around the lake area. There are plenty of benches around all sides of the lake to sit down and watch the dukes or have lunch/snack over-looking the lake. Lots of paths to explore. Café, toilets and play-area not far from the Lake. We visited in May whilst on a long walk around the area and were delighted to find lots of baby ducks around the lake area – so cute. Well worth a visit as a couple or family."
"Georgous Lake views and fauna. The park at first looks small, but it has lots of side paths and massive green fields. And a café. The playground could do with a refresh and a separate section for small or SEN children, who are in a bit of a danger around older kids using equipment rather aggressively. I don't like that each Sat between 9-10 they have some sort of group running sessions, with dozens of runners occupying the pathways, breathing heavily down your neck. I was not able to walk peacefully with my 2yo, without a risk of him being pushed or hit accidently by the adult runners. 9-10am is our usual weekend time for walks, so that's now not safe for us. I'm sure there are plenty of school playing fields or sport centres in the area, where they should do this instead!"
"Again one of the beautiful parks in the UK, it is really peaceful as well. There's a lake and also cafe inside(they were only accepting cash during our visit so keep your cash handy). I am not sure about the name of the flowers but they are beautiful too."
"Beautiful walk , lovely park for the children, clean and tidy and lots of different walks to do really enjoyed it, also there are toilets on site, shame they close early but good that they are there. Also lovely big carpark too. Free on the weekends or after a certain Time too"
