"I purchased a Rolex vintage Oysterdate early January 22. I noticed that despite being serviced only 6 months previously, the second hand seem to be pausing and then jumping forward slightly. I returned it to the store and spoke to Richard who seemed to be rather dismissive of my claims and that it was a normal function of the watch. I mentioned that surely something like this would have been picked up in the service. His reply was that he was happy to give me a refund and that he would put it back out, as it was, and probably at a higher price than I paid for it!! I requested it to be reserviced, and upon return, I asked for any further information on it and the reply was 'like what?' - like had the original fault been rectified??!! Upon collection , the dark haired lady was very perdantic, insisting my Rolex wasn't 'sent away' but 'collected' from the store - let's not go there!! Richard wouldn't also speak to me as he was busy!! In a nutshell, would I buy again - probably not!! After reading the reply from Richard below, one has to question why he was certain I was happy at the time of collecting my serviced Rolex (for the second time) if he was too busy to speak to me - because he 'was in the middle of a jewellery repair demanding his full attention'!! Perhaps he watched the CCTV playback before posting his reply?? Secondly, I was making a point over the fact that the dark haired lady kept, rather defensively and arrogantly correcting me over whether the Rolex was sent or collected, because I wasn't bothered otherwise - but she clearly was!! I got the clear impression that she or the store was unhappy that I had brought an expensive Rolex back that had been recently serviced, for a clear and obvious defect!! I don't doubt that you are using an experienced watchmaker but even you must admit that a customer is entitled to post a negative review when purchasing an expensive watch that has been recently serviced and to be obviously not working correctly, and then be treated in this way?? Finally, your comment at the end about me not being happy whatever you did, is a condescending and arrogant attitude that captures everything I have reported and reflects the truth I experienced in buying this Rolex."
