"Agree with others that the staff are very friendly. It’s also cheap. But the changing rooms are filthy. You also can’t access the timetable online, the staff aren’t allowed to send it by email, and if you call you often just get told there’s no one to answer and the call gets ended. So all in all, a pretty poor service."
"My son was attending swimming lessons since he was 5 . He started his lessons from a small swimming pool and then moved to a big swimming pool . When he was moved to a big swimming pool ( 25m) , only 1 swimming lane were intended for a lessons and this 1 lane was dived in to 4 small parts ( which is only approximately 6 meters) for a group of 6 people and this is were big kids (10 years old were learning to swim). The rest lanes are given to a private school and they not divided. We have moved to another pool center. Fulham pool is very dirty, toilets & sinks always, always clogged and out of order! It’s always stinks with dirt , showers, floor and changing rooms so disgustingly dirty, it seems like it’s never been properly cleaned. So happy we have left from there ! I do not recommend Fulham pool for swimming lessons and for swimming in general."
"Never very clean. It feels like the changing area is never cleaned. Just wiping the grime off the doors etc of the changing cubicles and hosing down the floor. It’s a bit gross."
"Really poor treatment given to the adult clubs that use the pool. Clubs for children are prioritised and there is poor communication around any changes being made. Lifeguards since Covid have been too busy chatting between them whilst blocking the exit to swimmers coming in. Receptionists don't pay attention to the bike thefts occurring ten metres away from where they are sat on a weekly basis as they are watching football on their phones behind the desk. The pool is also not kept very clean, and the ladies toilets often have the majority out order."
"Fulham (public) Pools has a separate entrance to the (private) Virgin Active Health Club, although both are operated by Virgin. This leisure centre has a 25m eight lane gala swimming pool, a children's teaching swimming pool, three adult and two children's all weather tennis courts, and a public gym. The swim school staff are great, especially Joanna who was an absolute pleasure to deal with when arranging swim lessons. Her communication, knowledge and her interaction with the kids for the assessments were superb. There's a separate smaller pool for lessons for the younger children and viewing areas for both pools. The change rooms and lockers are fine but be extremely cautious with belongings. Staff at reception are not vigilant and far too lax with people entering. I saw a guy allowed entry to use the toilets and he left with a bottle of wine under his arm. Nothing staff could do apparently.. remember to bring 20p for the lockers!"
