Reviews
"My cat has been boarding here for the last couple of years and I wouldn't dream of sending him anywhere else. John and Pearl are like family to him. I can confidently say that all the cats here are loved and extremely well cared for. He is always happy and cheerful when we collect him, unlike the previous cattery we had sent him to."
"My cat came back thin, underfed and with diarrhoea. The owners are rude and lack any social skills, as you can tell from their reply below. I hope they do not treat cats the way they treat their customers. The owners of the cattery charge you for food and board so they are quite clearly just economising on food. They ask for the food type your cat eats so I gave the exact type of food he gets at home. Quite clearly, he wasn't fed that because the only time he had diarrhoea before was when we tried to change his food and not due to travel, which he takes rather well apart from moaning a bit in the car. Whenever we left our cat at any other cattery, he came back fatter due to lack of exercise. This is the first time he came back so poorly and when we fed him at home, he jumped at the food as though he hadn't eaten the whole week. We felt so sorry for him for leaving him with these people. The owners are also very awkward and just strange, literally waiting behind a darkened window, staring out for when you arrive. They seem to have a pathological obsession with punctuality too. Although I was perfectly on time to drop and pick up the cat, the experience of someone staring out for you out of a darkened window is not a pleasant one. They are not the kind of people who I'd want to leave my cat with ever again."
"Fantastic cattery owned by a wonderful couple who are incredibly clued up on all breeds of cats. Whilst my cat stayed with them for 12 days, I received a lengthy update after a few days and a photo a week after to show she had settled in. The cattery itself is spacious and clean with plenty of room to play. I look forward to booking again in the future. Thank you John & Pearl from Pia & Saffron."
"My wife says our cat wouldn’t let us take him anywhere else. She’s probably right. He likes it there. Comes home and carries on as though nothing has happened. I’ve known John and Pearl since about 2001. They love their cats. It’s difficult to get bookings around the height of summer and Christmas and half-terms and so on but then they’re not very big. On the few occasions we couldn’t get in and had to go elsewhere I don’t think our cat liked it overmuch. We know that if there was ever any problem with our cat this cattery would take care of it immediately and that they’d be in touch with us immediately. We go on holiday knowing our cat is in the very best of hands."
"My cats love going to Bushey Cattery. They literally queue up to get in their carriers. I have been using them for 4 and half years. I wouldn’t dream of using anywhere else as I know my cats are well looked after and get lots of attention. Because the service is so good the Cattery has a lot of repeat customers so booking early is advisable."
