"Taxi rides are generally fine but there’s no way to pay when you book via the app which is a real pain Update - used yesterday but wanted a £2surcharge to pay by card which is not only illegal but takes the pi$$. Not sure I’ll be using them again."

"DO NOT YSE THIS TAXI COMPANY !!!! we were left stranded after a wedding in the middle of no where even though I’d booked 3 days in advance and called them that morning to confirm , the taxi was booked for midnight they had called me 7 times from 11 pm to 11.50 pm but there was no service on my phone in the venue when I left the venue at 11.55 and and called them they said we couldn’t have a taxi for another hour !!!!!!"

"Order a taxi at 07:30 in the morning for a hospital appointment at 08:30. I was told 10mins before the taxi gets to my house. I had to ring again at 07:55 and was again told the taxi is 3 mins away from me. At 08:20 the taxi arrived at my house I rang the hospital on route to tell them I would be late due to the taxi but they had to cancel my appointment. I had to make the taxi turn around and drop me back home and was charged for the journey. On the way home I got another call from hospital that my appointment has been scheduled for 3 weeks from today. When I rang the taxi office all I got was a measles "sorry, our driver was busy with another drop off"! Definitely won't be using these guys again."

"Booked a cab 14 hours in advance, needed it to pick me up at 8:10 for an appointment that was booked for 8:30… I called at 08:15 to be told it was running late, asked how late and he said 10mins, to then not get a text message until 08:27 saying it was 3mins away and that the cost would be £8… had already rang Beaumont taxis in meantime and they had arrived and the cost to where I was going was £4.50 with Beaumont taxi’s… so not only is birstall unreliable and a whole 20 minutes late, the fare was almost double the price for the same route. This is not the first time they have been really late, had an occasion where they told me they would be half hour and instead was hour and half late. Was on a night out so luckily wasn’t urgent to get home. Seems they don’t like to do short distanced pick ups and drops off. Would avoid this company at all cost. Their cabs stink anyway."
