BRM Legal insist on getting full payment upfront before they lift a finger to do any work. In my case, they would have received the full sale prices into their accounts from which they could have deducted their fee. When I mentioned this, I was told it was company policy and if I wasn't happy with this, I could find someone else. I did just that and they were cheaper and did not ask for any payment upfront. I have a very poor experience of BRM legal and therefore recommend them to no one."

They were supposed to handle our purchase as well but after a month, they decided that they didn't do new build property despite being told this up front. The conveyancing they did for us went through ok, but I did find myself having to answer the same questions and send the same documents many times because it seems the team didn't communicate to each other very well. Difficult to contact or get prompt answers despite having a direct dial mobile for the team leader which is handy because their normal phone number is charged at premium rate."
