"What a joyful place this is. Beautiful building and super views across the valley. Run by amazing ladies who are also managing a working farm."
"Loved our Stay ... You have to go and experience for yourself and meet the amazing Margaret n Jean both in their 90s and still Welcoming guests to their home"
"It's a very rustic building that is perfect for those who are going to be using it as a base to go out exploring Yorkshire & Lancashire. It is in need of some upgrades. I'm certain that most of the furniture was older than I am & with that in mind it's not exactly a comfortable place to spend time (most chairs are very well used). There is no Central heating & this is a lovely old building. Bare that in mind when packing your sleeping stuff. There is an open fire which unfortunately struggled to heat the room unless all doors & curtains are closed. Again it is an old building so drafts are to be expected. There is a large kitchen with stainless steel work surfaces. However when we stayed there, there were 26 of us. Whilst there was plenty of seating around the table, catering hot food so many was a challenge in the standard oven. There is a microwave, small freezer & fridge with plenty of crockery. There's plenty of parking in the courtyard & easy access for disabled people via the installed ramp. Overall of you're looking for a break away from the modern day world this place is fantastic. It's a nice get away & with plenty of rooms it's great for family get togethers etc."
"Step straight into the set of all creatures great and small.Isolated rustic Yorkshire accomodation fabulous views extremely friendly goats. Do not expect modern chintzy decor this is function over form in this rambling old pile. The owner an 88 year barefoot old lady who is charm personified. This is Yorkshire so it is excellent value for money and sleeps 25 warm bodies"
"This is a very cosy place and a great place for kids and the family. This is actually a working farm ran by two sisters and there are cows, donkeys and goats on the farm. The house is very spacious and a great place to spend Christmas as we are doing for the second year running!"
