"The bar and restaurant staff were all professional and friendly, service was good. The pub was very busy and had a good, positive vibe. We had an evening meal which was basic fare, reasonably priced, typical pub grub. All positive to this point. The room was a good size, warm and cosy but the big negative was the bed. It was unbelievably uncomfortable, the mattress was so hard even though it had a topper on the matress, there was no give in it at all and felt like laying on a block of concrete. Back to a positive, the breakfast was great, very nicely cooked and a good choice."
