"This was a good dental practice a few years ago, but it is utterly awful now. The receptionist is rude and lazy. I have spent an hour on hold, 40 minutes of which was telling me I was number 1 in the queue, and yet when you walk into the practice the receptionist is sat doing nothing. If you dare to have a complaint about the service being given, the receptionist will (no matter how polite and respectful you are being) either hang up on you if you're on the phone or bark at you to "stop arguing or you will have to leave the practice". Oh, and if you want to complaint to the practice manager, you can't, because they don't have one. This practice should be closed down for the good of society. EDIT: I would like to add that, as you can see from the response from My Dentist, they simply don't care about the terrible serice they're offering. They don't even care enough to even read the reviews properly. They've told me to contact the practice to speak with the practice manager - but the practice doesn't have a practice manager, so what would be the point? The practice is, apparently, run by the receptionists - at least one of whom is simply useless. To be clear, my 1 start review is absolutely in the correct place. This practice is an utter disgrace."
"I have booked with the hygienist twice. Taken 2 mornings off work. Had 2 reminders before both appointments. Only to get cancelled 30 mins before hand! Bearing in mind I've booked these like 6 months in advance. I'm self employed so it's costing me money. With no explanation. The dentist i use in the practice is very good. Always on time, polite and helpful."
"Be careful. The receptionist is dangerously incompetent. My appointment with the dentist for an NHS perio treatment was cancelled because the suction was not working. I called to rearrange and instead she booked me with the privet hygienist. I missed an important meeting to receive a treatment I didn’t sign up for (when I booked the receptionist told me that the only available appointment was on 6 December or in March!!!), not to mention that I had to pay £48 for it whilst on maternity leave. When I told the receptionist that I was supposed to see the dentist and that there was a mistake with the booking, she told me that they don’t make mistakes with the appointments. Very inappropriate! I am really disappointed."
"Between December 2021 and August 2022 this dentist cancelled my appointment four times - once when I was on a bus en route and once when I was in front of the receptionist. Obviously unforeseen reasons happen but I nearly lost a tooth because of these cancellations. The most offensive experience though was the face to face encounter with the American receptionist - shockingly nasty and I mean REALLY nasty. I turned up for my appointment and spoke to her in a very friendly and courteous manner. She told me there were no appointments due to a technical issue and when I expressed my concern that yet another appointment had been cancelled - this time after I'd arrived - and how concerned I was about the tooth she reacted in the most offensive and hostile manner imaginable. I sat there in a state of shock after failing to explain my concerns about my tooth as she kept on - with a gleeful look - tapping the "zero tolerance" sign. I asked her not to speak to me as I waited to speak with a more civil member of staff and she went on and on and even started bad mouthing me TO the dentist who came to speak to me about my concerns in front of me! Truly the worst experience I've ever had with a receptionist in a medical setting and completely unjustified. All I wanted was a dentist to look at the tooth that day as obviously with technical problems I knew treatment couldn't happen. Serena the dentist examined me and put my mind at rest that the tooth could be saved. She was also very sympathetic when I told her I didn't need any additional stress (or sought any) as my mum was very unwell and actually died before my next appointment in early October. I really hope something is done about this receptionist - she's a disgrace and should not be working with members of the public. She has no people skills at all and seems unable to control herself or the way she speaks to patients."
"Messed up my teeth. They weren't very accommodating and treated me like a number. An in and out job and not very professional, i am a nervous patient and when i was in the chair they were fumbling around looking for things they should have had ready."
