"Decided to support a local business and tried Douglass Motors instead of the main Land Rover Coventry Dealership for my regular service. When I dropped my LR Discovery 4 off, I asked for the Ecolight to be looked at (as it has been permanently on since purchase). At the time, it was not flagged up that this would be an issue. I received the car back the next day but soon noticed that the warning light was still visible. After several attempts of trying to contact them I eventually spoke to one of the team who told me that fault finding is not part of a normal service and that I would need to book the car in for another visit. He also added that he had told me this when my keys were handed back. This is not what happened as I had specifically asked for the light to be looked at, in addition, there were no notes included in the service report, and if I had been informed of this, I would have asked that they resolve the issue and keep the vehicle for longer. However, when I stated that I was not happy with the service or communication that I had received - there was just silence from the other end of the phone. No apology, not offer to help me - just apathy. If smaller businesses want to survive, surely customer service should be at the forefront"
