"Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The menu isn't big, however, everything we ordered was very tasty. Fish and chips tasted homemade, Sunday lunch was big and filling, fishcakes also tasted homemade, ice cream and sorbets are very good and generous servings. Server was very nice and helpful, pleasant family atmosphere and generally a good experience. The reason that it's a 4 and not 5 stars is because the cauliflower and cheese cost £4 and there were only 3 florets in there and the desserts cost £6.5 which is way too expensive (hence why we got scoops of ice cream instead). Also, I know its a pub, but it looked quite dingy inside. You could put some lights either over the tables or some candles on the tables."
"We came today for a family get together, food was delicious and we received a super friendly service. We loved the macaroni cheese, the chicken burger and the steaks were cooked to perfection. For the quality of food I would say the prices are well matched. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and makes you feel very welcome."
"We had an excellent family meal here today. All the staff were helpful and welcoming despite the pub being full and hosting a function. The food was really good and at a reasonable price. A lovely experience"
"On arrival, greeted by 2 lovely polite female staff members who served us MY wife daughter and I went and sat near the entrance which also has the TV there while we were in conversation a bloke from behind the bar wearing a England top and hat came over and just turned the TV up ,which drowned out our conversation there was no would you mind or anything just pure ignorance from him, so we got up and moved table which he saw not even a sorry just stared at me from behind the bar . We went there for a drink to see what place was like, so maybe go back and try the food , but far to say, we will not be going back . Female staff lovely can't complain about them ."
"Just had drinks here since it’s my local. Definitely improved since the revamp however prices are too much around £5 for a pint which means I probably won’t come very often, also they said there would be live music after 7pm however there wasn’t any when we arrived at 7.20pm. On the good side it’s a nice atmosphere, dog friendly and the outdoor seating area is nice with heaters and the staff were nice. Overall it’s a nice place to go, just need to be willing to spend quite a lot."
