"We instructed Buckingham Capital Consulting on two projects involving the UK’s FCA and the Bank of Lithuania’s licenses for the Payment Institution and the Electronic Money Institution. We found them very helpful and experienced. They advised us early on with the requirements eg people, capital, systems etc. The projects were well structured and planned (which helped us with our FCA and BoL case officers in getting approved). Overall, would recommend, particularly for PI and EMI licensing projects in the UK and Europe."

"We were looking to obtain a UK FCA SEMI License to roll out our fintech business in the UK, so we applied for the application earlier this year through a consulting company called Buckingham Capital Consulting in the UK. At first, the consulting firm said the license would come out with a 99% success which made us to make our decision to engage with that consulting firm to run the application process. Initially, we paid £ 18,000 for the agent fee alone; in addition, before the SEMI application was submitted to the FCA, all the requirements for the applicant to meet the FCA thresholds should have been checked thoroughly by the consulting firm, but they pushed us to submit the application without conducting thorough due diligence. The consulting company's irresponsibility toward the application eventually led the application to be rejected and they passed on the responsibility to us. Furthermore, after receiving the SEMI license application, the FX license was further processed. In this part, we paid 26,400 pounds for the agent, but even this part was rejected because they never walked us through what we should prepare for meeting the requirements for the license. They just pushed us to pay the fees for the application. In addition, the company requested us to pay 8,000 pounds for "bank account" opening services (do not know what this fee is for), which they've stated that amount is a mandatory requirement as well. The reason why we finally paid for this service is that they claimed that they guarantee that they help us open up the safeguarding bank account as they have special business relations and networks with the banks But the company just threw a few name of banks that anyone can figure out through simple internet research. But it has turned out that they do have any connection with the banks and they did not provide any help with opening up the bank accounts. In the end, we didn't even get a proper apology and worst of all NO license when we have spent money and time into it. If this is not a scam, what can this be called? This is a pure scam. It looks like the company has no track record of successfully getting the license and the company's CEO is not registered in UK FCA right now. Most importantly, the company is not even regulated by the UK FCA."
