"I live locally and rarely come here. We aren't 'pub people'. Our son and young grandchildren came up and rather than cooking we went to the Stamford for Sunday lunch. The adults had beef /turkey and the kids ate off the kids menu (fish fingers/beef burger both with chips and beans) What a success. Service was very good and the food excellent. I was very agreeably surprised. We will come again. Recommended."
