"Free entry for students! Good selection of plants both outside and in glasshouse. A nice afternoon out, particularly enjoyable in the sunny weather."
"Really lovely place to visit. Quiet, peaceful but with fascinating tales of botany to educate too. There's a really nice cafe as a bonus."
"Beautiful gardens - and free if you are a UoB student! (Or alumni or staff). Lovely annual sculpture trail, an events I look forward to! The glasshouses are particularly good when there's a bit of a nip in the air like today, showcasing some great cacti, bird of paradise flowers, and lotuses - sadly not out, but apparently coming in the next few weeks! Apparently everything changes did fast that's it's worth coming back every few weeks anyway because they'll be something new to see :)"
"This lovely garden was a bit smaller than I anticipated but still a joy to walk around. Everything labelled, gorgeous Magnolias and spring meadow at the time of my visit but I imagine there is something lovely in each season. Tropical glasshouses are very interesting, full of unusual and intriguing specimens but sadly no giant lily pads as seen on all the promo shots, perhaps it just wasn't the right time of year."
