"Tha college was clean & tidy. Staff & reception staff were very friendly & welcoming. Security/safety for the students was paramount."
"The Bath campus is poorly run, and provides low quality teaching. This is a shame as the Radstock Campus provides a much higher standard of learning. *edit* WoW, 35 minutes and a response. What a shame they don't show as much care for their students or answer their phones in such a timely manner."
"I did a course online during lockdown 2021 and still waiting my qualification, they've been changing management several times, nobody knows about what the person before was doing and after waiting so many months they don't answer any email and impossible to contact by phone. High level of disappointment. No chance I would invest my time in this college when is very unlikely to have qualification"
"I left school after doing my GCSE’s to do what I was told is a HNC in construction until I found after 3 months of my first year in the course I found it was a level 3 BTEC, the college forgot about me and my class of 4 others. The 2 years I have spent here was a complete waste of life and has not furthered my education in one bit. We have had 4 different lecturers over 2 years, 3 have left due to falling out with the college and then once the lecturer had left none of my classes assignments were marked, which we all put a lot of time and effort into. It’s a joke of an organisation. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COLLEGE FOR ANY SORT OF CONSTRUCTION COURSE."
"This notification suggests this is about the café inside the reception area of Bath College, although the part I'm filling in gives no clues... So I'll review both: Briefly, although it's a little disorganised, everyone's very friendly and they make a big effort to be helpful and fix things, and they're good at finding the staff responsible for the area of concern. As a brief look around the library confirms the academic range & depth is deliberately limited to concentrate on introductions to specific subjects, so they can concentrate on helping in very specific ways and not get bogged down. They have an impressive range of services not related to coursework, to support students, including help with health, finance, travel to the campus, and any other barriers to learning; and this goes beyond and in addition to the usual public services. Eg, if you can get help with a disability on the NHS but have to wait a bit longer than practical, you can get that help a lot faster as a student. A local student pass also gives you discounts at businesses outside the college, and qualifies you for NUS membership, which gives you an even better range of discounts, eg on Amazon products, and the student edition of software licences. The discounts and services do not discriminate, so you're eligible for support & subsidiaries outside the days/hours you normally attend, and the subject areas you're studying. Back to the café area: There's a café atmosphere in the reception part for meetings etc, with a counter service, and that's very light & spacious, with comfortable seats & tables, and a high quality & range of food & drinks. There is also a section serving meals, although that's currently restricted due to infection control and improvement work."
