"A review from someone who didn’t get their dinner comp’d by the PR team… As I walked in to Nessa on an uneventful Wednesday lunchtime I felt a frisson of excitement, this seemed like the kind of 90s throwback Soho restaurant I was going to see a 2023 version of Patsy and Eddie sitting in, quaffing bolly and ordering one of everything and eating nothing-ing in. Absolutely fabulous. Sadly the reality was that the atmosphere consists of kitchen team having a nice time, very polite waitstaff, diners getting lunch for free and pretending it’s the newest best place in the UK and aggy PR people standing in each corner glaring at everyone and making the whole place feel on edge. We did see someone on the way out the looked familiar and very stressed, I can only assume he was one of the founders/ key stakeholders and I might have seen him passing opinion on TV once upon a time but I’ve no idea of his name. Food wise, I had the beef tartare and the beef dripping chips, that I could probably summon a mere ‘nice enough’ about. My companion had the Caesar salad, not a dish you can get particularly excited about but, yikes. Plus I asked for my coke with lime - it came with lemon - and they served it in a highball, which considering it was a standard glass bottle (nee thimble) of coke just made me feel like I was being robbed, at least serve it in a rocks glass so it’s no so obvious that you’re bending me over before 2pm. Honestly if I was in this area and needed lunch, I’d just wander 2 mins away to Zedel which never disappoints."
"Alongside great food, gorgeous decor and lovely atmosphere - the service was impeccable. From start to finish, the staff were amazing. So impressed!"
"Broad spectrum of dishes on menu, food was delicious. Service very friendly. Excellent bistro-style restaurant."
"New restaurant so had to try it out. It’s been done up nicely and the staff are attentive. Food was tasty, the soda bread was surprisingly a highlight. As well as the beef tartare. Fair price for the food. Would recommend"
