"The people are lovely but I have to make a comment about the potholes and dreadful state of the roads. Absolutely shocking. There is also nowhere to park. I would have expected suitable parking but then the Forest of Dean is not a properly managed National Park is it? Even the trails in the forest are, in the main, just rivers of mud. It appears to be a commercially exploited forest that is under resourced and under funded for public use. It has been in steady decline for a long time. Very sad."
"First visited as a child & been back a few times. It's still a beautiful, calming place to be at one with nature"
"Beautiful! Loads of lovely public footpaths and trails through mixed woodland, and lots of it accessible for those less able. Don't expect a good mobile signal or fast internet. For food and accommodation, think 1970's ;). Other than those two drawbacks, it's a glorious part of the country."
"Strange place quick walk to me three hours to find my way out"
"No where better to be to recharge life than among the trees in the Forest of Dean and walking the Wye Valley. Great bird watching and other types of Flora and Fauna."
