About the Business
Welcome to Singer Tavern, a unique bar, establishment and point of interest located in the heart of London at 1 City Rd, EC2A 2BH, United Kingdom. Our establishment is like no other - we pride ourselves on offering our guests an unforgettable experience that combines incredible food and drinks, a lively atmosphere, and a rich history.
At Singer Tavern, we've retained the building's original features, including the grand wooden staircase and ornate ceiling, to create a welcoming and stylish environment for visitors. We offer a range of seating areas, from comfy leather sofas to cosy booths, and we even have a private function room for those special events.
Our bar is well-stocked with a variety of drinks, from craft beers to cocktails created by our talented mixologists. Our drink menu is accompanied by an extensive food offering, including classic dishes such as burgers and pizzas, as well as a selection of seasonal dishes inspired by the freshest produce.
As a point of interest, Singer Tavern has a fascinating history dating back to the 1800s. The building was originally constructed as a furniture showroom and auction house, before being transformed into a public house in the 1900s. Our team has gone to great lengths to pay homage to this history while creating a modern bar and eatery that satisfies all of our guests' contemporary desires.
We hope to welcome you soon to Singer Tavern, whether you're in the mood for a delicious meal with friends, a few drinks after work, or an unforgettable night out in London.

"One of my favourite London pubs! It reminds me an old school (superbly decorated) greenhouse. Met colleagues for lunch and the food, as always, was pretty good (I had the risotto, others had the burgers which they raved about). The pub has such a fun atmosphere to it so it makes for a great weekday watering hole too :)"
"We booked for dinner for 8 people two days prior at 7pm, they confirmed availability, we turned up on time, ordered drinks, and the table was set for service. Up to 20 minutes in and we ask someone that we were ready to order, they tell us that the kitchen closed at 7pm. This would have been useful information at the time of the phone booking, where they charged us £80, ten per person, when they clearly know the kitchen closed at 7pm. Poor service, no attempt at reconciliation, but a round of drinks! It was dinner we were after."
"Booked for dinner @7pm, arrived and then told the kitchen was closed at 7. Took a £10 deposit for the booking and then told us it was closed even though we'd been here for 1 hour without telling us that the kitchen was closed/closing. The table had cutlery and they even gave us menus. We told them we're here for food while ordering drinks, the manager was not helpful and would go as far as to say he was rude. Can't recommend!!! Stay well clear..edit: they did offer a free round of drinks but we'd ordered wine thinking we'd be having dinner.."
"Wow, what a great little find. So glad a friend of ours recommended a visit here! The Old Fashioneds were excellent and my friends really enjoyed their drinks too. It had a good atmosphere to it and I loved the top and bottom floor as well. The bartender downstairs, Allie (I hope!), was really nice and friendly and I'll definitely be back to enjoy the downstairs atmosphere too."
