Reviews
"Huge and fairly well kept green area in the heart of the west end nestled amongst beautiful blonde sandstone tenements, the river and the university campus. Lots of space for dog walking, a cafe, play areas and plenty of seating. Perfect for summer days and nights"
"Probably the best park in Glasgow. We visited it in October so it has the perfect autumn atmosphere. Many trees had already yellow and red leaves which is so beautiful. There were some small groups playing ball games and quidditch but you could have a quiet walk if you want because it is so spacey. It is also perfect for a walk with your dog. We saw many squirrels which was really cute."
"Beautiful and expansive park. It has beautiful walk by the river, trees, paths, grass, bring your dog, partner, have a picnic, or just get away from the city for a while. You’ll sometimes get buskers, see some statues, and walk by the University for more lovely views. Love this park. Even if I’m just passing through the nature is recharging."
"Beautiful park/arboretum. Very large. Lots of trees, some of which are very unusual, info given. Beautiful river runs through it too. Lots of seating. The central area is fairly flat, and you can get away with wheelchairs, and you can also walk up various steps to different levels."
"Spring is the best time to visit the park. I love this place! It took me about an hour to walk from the city centre. A walk in this park would make me feel pleasant and calm. I love nature."
