"Where to begin with this; I took my 18 week old puppy to have her first mini groom at scruffy pooches on the 1st December. My puppy Paisley, walked in and was very excited to see new people & was greeted by the owners son as the owner was running late. When my mum & dad collected her around 45 minutes later, she was lying on a fleece on the floor unable to walk. Now the first thing the owner jumped at was she had been trying to get in touch with my mum for 45 minutes to let her know what had happened as she claims to “not know”. Her advice was to try giving Paisley 1/2 a paracetamol and an anti-inflammatory…..despite not knowing what happened. We took Paisley to the vet & she’s had to have surgery on her leg costing almost £3000. This so called owner does NOT have any insurance, so please be mindful if you do use her that should anything happen at her place of business, she is not covered. I’ve asked her if she has cameras since she isn’t insured but she’s failed to text me back -not even to ask how my wee puppy is! Very disappointed that someone who works within this industry doesn’t have adequate cover -I’m fortunate since I am insured & hopefully they will pay out. However, I myself have had to pay this money out & just before Christmas time as the owner has not accepted liability nor offered to contribute in any way towards these vet bills!!! This is an important time for Paisleys development which has been completely set back, she couldn’t attend her puppy classes which she was half way through, or positive play. It’s not just the financial burden but the emotional stress we’ve all been through!"
