"I don’t like leaving bad reviews if I don’t have to so, its regretful that I am doing on this occasion. Phoned Speedy today, (1st April 2023) and asked for a taxi to take our retired guide dog and us to the local vet. Operator said she didn’t have anyone who’d take a dog on a Saturday. How they’ve decided on the drivers behalf that they won’t take a dog in this context is totally beyond me. I’ve not used Speedy for about 5 years and that was pretty much for the reasons others stated at the time that they are unreliable. I get that there likes of Uber are not ideal in many respects but, the local companies should have no right to be upset that Uber, Bolt and the like are taking all their business when Speedy Cars can’t provide a good local service."
"Booked a taxi for a 4am pick up to Gatwick. 4:10am and still no taxi had arrived. I received a call from a landline but when I answered, there was silence the other end. I was saying "hello? hello?" and nothing. Tried to call back and didn't get through. By this time, we were concerned that no one was coming so ended up having to book parking at Gatwick and take our own car. As we were leaving about 20 mins later, a taxi finally pulls up. I told him he was far too late and that we were now driving and he said he called to let me know he'd be late. I said there's no way he can claim this as he would've heard me on the other end saying that I couldn't hear him. Would not recommend this company at all as they thoroughly let us down and gave us no way of contacting our driver who by this time was 20 mins late."
"Always late, no late discount offers, sometimes waiting time is 50 minutes after agreed time, be careful when booking if you need to be on time. Drivers themselves are excellent."
"Booked a taxi for the evening. Taxi was fine, driver arrived on time, but they didn't honour their quote. Was given a quote for £7.50 for our journey by the central office. Told this to the driver several times but he insisted on using the meter. The journey came to £12 in the end."
"Mate be careful of calling speedycars as they are doing massive data breach specially females numbers and they outsourced it to Pakistan and customer is getting dirty and filthy messages from different whatsapp numbers. If you call them then your house address wont be safe anymore plus your contact numbers. As London traffic police dept have already lods of complaints regarding speedycars."
