"My elderly father (80 years old) has been using this company for several years now, mostly arranging airport pick ups for me. The service used to be great and I have been picked up by some excellent drivers (a particularly friendly driver was a gentleman from Babylon who drove me home from Heathrow). Unfortunately, we had an appalling experience last night which sadly means we will never be able to use this company again. My father had pre-arranged a pick-up from Gatwick airport for myself, my partner and my mother and had been given an agreed price of £54-55+ parking costs. To begin with our driver did not meet us at the airport but expected us to make the way to his car in the car park by giving us his number plate (this wasn’t great but I could certainly look past it if it were not for what follows). Once we made it to the car he was silent and unfriendly, and clearly quite annoyed about the fact that our flight and luggage had been delayed (understandably this is irritating for everyone but completely out of our hands). Again, I don’t expect drivers to be talkative or chatty but basic social niceties would be appreciated. He proceeded to drive in a highly reckless manner and took a very strange route back to our house. When my mother asked him about the fare he said he would know ‘when we arrive’ which I immediately found concerning as I was aware that my father had previously agreed a price with the office. Nonetheless, all of this could have been overlooked and I wouldn’t have bothered with this review if it weren’t for the incident that occurred when we arrived. When my father came out of the house to pay the driver, he initially tried to charge us £73. My father was confused as this was not the price given to him by the office and he wanted to double check that this was correct. Unfortunately, this is where communication completely broke down as the driver kept repeating the price in an incredibly rude manner and would not allow my father to speak. The driver then called the office and suddenly the price had increased to £83, supposedly due to the ‘waiting time’. I find this very suspicious as we have used this company for years for airport pick ups and waiting times have never incurred an extra fee (in fact, the aforementioned gentleman from Babylon had to wait for more than three hours for my flight and we were not charged extra nor subjected to surly/aggressive treatment). I asked if this was a new policy and was told it was not. My father was also not informed of this ‘policy’ when he received the quote from the office which I find rather disingenuous - surely the onus should be on the taxi company to monitor flight delays and ensure that their drivers aren’t left waiting? My father paid the agreed amount and stated that he would go to the office in person and pay any extra the following day if there truly had been a misunderstanding, and then went back into our house in order to call the company himself to see what had happened. Unfortunately, the driver then took it upon himself to park his car and begin to incessantly ring our doorbell/bang on the door whilst we were trying to resolve the situation on the phone. I found this to be very intimidating and had I been alone I would have called the police but my father decided to just pay what he was demanding in order to avoid further conflict. As he was paying, the driver repeated in a threatening manner that my father was ‘very rude’. I personally consider that acting aggressively and trying to intimidate an 80 year old man says a lot about an individual’s moral integrity AND about the company that they represent which was willing to hire someone so unpleasant and unprofessional. My father is sensitive to conflict and has been left feeling anxious and upset about the incident. It is also very sad/disheartening as he used this firm for so many years and felt he could trust their service. On my part I am considering reporting them to trading standards given their underhanded and legally questionable methods of increasing fare prices."

Apparently they gave the wrong address to the driver, who was very old and not capable of driving. Will never use them again"
